ABOUT ME
I am so excited to be a candidate for a Board Trustee Position in Hawthorn Woods. While this is a non partisan, volunteer position, it requires your VOTE on Tuesday, April 2nd.
My husband and I with our two daughters, Zinachidi (7th Grade, Middle School North) and Yadilinna (5th Grade, Spencer Loomis) moved here last year as a result of my husband's job with Walgreens. We immediately fell in the love with the beautiful trees, family friendly environment and welcoming neighbors. My family and I attend Chapel Church.
As a mom, I am passionate about my local community, roads, schools, and safety of all children.

Did You Know?
How Old Were You When You Got Into Politics?
I was 19 and a Senior at Lander University when I decided to run for Student Government President. My college professors really encouraged me along the way. I was nervous but I gave it my best shot, and lost
by only a few votes. I was honest and proud of my effort. I was motivated by the idea that so many students believed in me. I was very thankful for Democracy.

Toughest Job?
I had many tough assignments during my 17 years at General Electric. However, before I completed my Masters at Clemson University, I worked as a Small Business Administration Loan Graduate Assistant. Telling small business owners they did not qualify for a loan when they were in desperate need was hard. I learned that you should always have multiple streams of income and protect your assets by having a solid business plan.
